Consulting: Is your story or subject strong enough to devote the time and effort to write? Should it be a book or a short story? Is your idea better as a film script? Unbiased feedback of your work is one of the perks you will receive to determine which direction is realistic. 

WRITING/GHOSTWRITING

General Writing: When you need a writer for a book, film or TV script synopsis, PR releases, online content, or anything you want to do in publishing in the creative realm, Shauna will write everything for you, as well as collaborate with you. She also offers last-minute writing support when you have looming deadlines that are often impossible to meet without help. 

Ghostwriting: Writing for others is one of Shauna's favourite and most rewarding experiences in the field. She has written biographies, fiction, non-fiction, blogs, website content and social media comments. 

EDITING/ABRIDGING

Editing: The editing style is very simple and easy for professional and new writers to understand. The digital or manual copy will be marked with easy-to-read, direct guidelines, which can then be completed by you or your editor.

Abridging: Shauna will trim large and small portions of a previously published book/article into a specific word count without interfering with the flow and tone of the material. The technique is used for audiobooks, print media, and other publishing sources where brevity of a completed work is necessary.

PROOFREADING

Details do matter with any written material. Correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, sentence structure — all of the seemingly minor elements of writing — are increasingly ignored as the rush to publish creates pressure on writers to unintentionally submit sloppy work. Don't allow your book or blog to become a victim in the trend of mangling otherwise excellent content.

With her trusty "red pen" in manual or typed form, Shauna will save you from embarrassment by locating and fixing common mistakes. 

RESEARCH

To ensure that the facts of your subject or story are technically accurate, research is another element not to be ignored if you want to be credible in your field. 

Shauna has years of experience researching minute details in fiction and non-fiction genre's, as well as TV productions. If you don't have the time or patience to double-check locations, dates, historical information and other details, she will fact-check and do the research for you. Beyond using search engines, it is often necessary to directly contact people and institutions.
